Clinical evaluation of Geworin in painful conditions in gynecology

Abstract
|
|
|
A part from causal therapy, to free from or alleviate pain is one of the main tasks of the physician. The purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness of Geworin and to record any side effects and toxicity of the durg.
This polyvalent analgesic agent, Geworin (3(N methyl [α-methyl-β-phenyl] ethylamino-methyl)-4-isopropylphenazone) was investigated in the management of painful conditions in gynecology in 52 patients who visited out patient Department, Ob. & Gyn., S. R. C. H.
This Geworin was administrated by mouth in dose of one tablet daily for pain. The results obtained were as follows:
1. Pain relief was 94.2% (49/52) and failure rate 5.8% (3/52)
2. Side effect occurred in 5 cases (9.6%), they were mild or moderate, such as headache, epigastric discomforts, anorexia & indigestion, nausea, vertigo and insomnia, and no one serious to stop administration.
3. This evaluation noted that Geworin appears & to be an effective analgesics with advantaged of low incidence of side effect and no toxicity.
